The sun has not even risen over the city of Ottawa, and I, being the dedicated scientist that I am, am awake and dressed, ready to face a morning of freezing temperatures while hiking through a forest in Québec. The likelihood that I will be able to rest at all during the next 15 hours or so are slim. But, oh well. All in the name of science...
